Silser Chorwochen 2026 - choir concerts in Sils Maria

Several times a year, the Silser Chorwochen fill Sils Maria with song: amateur choirs rehearse for a week in the village and close with public concerts in the small church, steps from Hotel Schweizerhof.

The event

Run by conductor Patric Ricklin and his CoroVivo choirs since 2014, the choir weeks bring together singers from across Switzerland. Each week ends with concerts that are anything but stiff: expect full-hearted singing in an intimate setting rather than formal recital manners. The remaining 2026 programme in Sils opens with Karl Jenkins' Stabat Mater on 10 and 11 July at 17:30, followed by "Klangmosaik aus Osteuropa", a mosaic of Eastern European choral music, on 25 and 26 September at 17:00. A baroque week devoted to Bach and Mozart runs from 27 September to 3 October, with a further choir week from 4 to 11 October.

Around the village

Concerts take place in the Offene Kirche, the small village church a few minutes' walk from the hotel. Pair a concert evening with a late-afternoon walk along Lake Sils or into the Fex Valley; late September here means golden larches and quiet paths.
