Maloja Lake Run 2026 - a lap of Lake Sils

On 13 September 2026, the Maloja Lake Run sends runners along the lakes and forest paths of the Upper Engadin. It is an approachable race for all levels, and Hotel Schweizerhof, a Faern Collection Hotel, is a short distance from the route in Sils Maria.

The event

The course runs from Maloja around Lake Sils, taking in lakesides, forest trails and alpine meadows, with the finish back at the Atelier Segantini in Maloja. You can enter on your own or share the distance with a partner in the relay format. With gentle scenery rather than punishing climbs, it suits first-time racers as much as seasoned runners. The 2026 race is the fifth edition.

Where to stay near the start

Sils Maria sits close to the route, so a night at the hotel and a hearty breakfast leave you well placed for the start. After the finish, the salt water spa is an easy way to recover.
