Corvatsch Snow Night 2026/27 - Friday night skiing above Silvaplana
.jpeg)
Every Friday from 4 December 2026 to 9 April 2027, Corvatsch keeps a floodlit run open long after the lifts elsewhere have stopped. Snow Night sits above Silvaplana, about ten minutes from Hotel Schweizerhof in Sils Maria.
The event
Corvatsch Snow Night is a weekly evening of skiing and riding on a 4.2 kilometre illuminated piste that drops from the Murtel mid-station to the Surlej valley station. The cable car runs late, the mountain restaurant stays open, and the run is quiet compared with the daytime crowds, so it suits both fast laps under the lights and a relaxed descent to a fondue at the bottom. It runs every Friday through the winter, with the last cable car and closing time moving later as the season goes on: until around 01:00 in December and January, and later still into the spring.
Where to ski from Hotel Schweizerhof
The Corvatsch valley station at Surlej is roughly ten minutes from Sils Maria by car or Engadin Bus, which makes Snow Night one of the easiest evening outings of the winter here: up for a few floodlit laps, dinner on the mountain or back in the village, and a short ride home.
