St. Moritz Art Film Festival 2026 - film and art in the Engadin

From 20 to 23 August 2026, St. Moritz hosts the St. Moritz Art Film Festival (SMAFF), four days where international cinema, contemporary art and conversation meet in the Engadin. Hotel Schweizerhof, a Faern Collection Hotel, sits about fifteen minutes away in Sils Maria.

The event

SMAFF brings together experimental film screenings, art retrospectives and talks that explore how film and art shape the way we see the world. The 2026 edition runs under the theme IF MUSIC, turning the programme towards the point where sound and image meet. Set in the Engadin valley, it draws cinephiles, artists and cultural travellers for a programme that is as much about ideas as it is about images.
