On 30 and 31 January 2026, the frozen surface of Lake St. Moritz becomes the stage for The I.C.E. – International Concours of Elegance. This open-air exhibition brings together rare and valuable classic cars from around the world, displayed in the unique setting of a snow-covered alpine lake.
Event Overview
Date: 30–31 January 2026
The event features beautifully restored vintage automobiles, from pre-war racing machines to iconic sports cars of the 20th century. Cars are exhibited on the ice and driven in demonstration laps, allowing visitors to see them in motion against the mountain backdrop.
What to Expect
The I.C.E. blends automotive history with winter glamour. Visitors can walk among the vehicles, speak with owners and collectors, and enjoy photo opportunities with cars rarely seen outside private collections. The frozen lake setting adds a distinctive visual appeal, and the crisp winter air makes for a refreshing day outdoors.
Insider Tips for Visitors
- Wear warm, insulated footwear — you’ll be standing on snow and ice for extended periods
- Arrive early to avoid the busiest crowds and to get unobstructed photos
- Bring sunglasses, as sunlight reflecting off the snow and ice can be intense
- Combine the visit with lunch in St. Moritz before or after viewing the displays

Guests staying in Sils Maria can reach the event easily and return in time for afternoon skiing, snowshoeing, or a spa session. A morning visit to The I.C.E. pairs well with an afternoon walk along Lake Sils or a short trip to the Corvatsch ski area.
