A New Chapter at Hotel Schweizerhof Sils

After many wonderful years under the leadership of Katja Gridling and Gregorio van Kuyk, the Hotel Schweizerhof Sils is entering a new era. In August 2025, the couple passed on the management of our cherished house to Simone and Michael Müller-Walt, who now take the helm with fresh ideas, warmth, and a deep love for the Engadin.

Below, we share the heartfelt farewell message from our former hosts, followed by a personal welcome note from our new General Managers.

Farewell Message from Katja Gridling & Gregorio van Kuyk

Dear Guests, dear Friends,

After many intense and wonderful years, we are handing over the management of the Schweizerhof into new hands.

Since 2008 – back then still under another name, and today as part of the Faern Collection Group – we have had the privilege of sharing this journey with you. Many of you have truly been with us since the very beginning. That fills us with deep gratitude and great joy.

Over this time, countless precious memories have been created – of heartfelt conversations, shared hikes, joyful evenings, quiet moments, and contagious laughter. Even more valuable are the friendships that have grown along the way and continue to enrich our lives.

Our special thanks also go to our wonderful team, who have supported us over the years with passion and dedication, and who embraced our vision of hospitality – a team that will continue to be here for you and support the new host couple with the same commitment and enthusiasm.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you – for your loyalty, your openness, and the trust you have placed in us.

We are certain that you will welcome the new General Managers, Simone and Michael Müller-Walt, with the same warmth that we have experienced, and that they will lead this house with love and fresh ideas.

We would like to wholeheartedly echo the warm words of Katja and Gregorio. It is with great joy – and a good measure of excitement – that we now take over the management of Hotel Schweizerhof in Sils, a house that carries so much history, character, and heart.

We are grateful for the trust that has been placed in us, and our aim is to preserve the warm hospitality you have experienced here for many years – while enriching it with our own ideas, fresh accents, and plenty of attention to detail.

For us, the Schweizerhof is much more than just a hotel: it should remain a place where you arrive and feel at home, where encounters matter, stories are shared, and lasting memories are made. Together with our wonderful team, we look forward to carrying this special spirit into the future.
