Arosa Ski Cross World Cup 2026
.webp)
Every December, Arosa opens one of the first stops of the Ski Cross World Cup season with two nights of fast, four-rider racing above the village. The next edition runs from 14 to 15 December 2026 on the floodlit course at Innerarosa, a short bus ride from the hotel.
The event
Ski cross sends four athletes down the same course at once, over jumps, rollers and banked turns, with the fastest through to the next heat. It is one of the most direct disciplines in ski racing: contact happens, positions change in seconds, and the result is rarely clear until the finish line. Ski cross has been an Olympic discipline since 2010, and a World Cup round brings that intensity to a compact, spectator-friendly course.
The course is built at Innerarosa, starting near the historic Bergkirchli and finishing close to the village, and the racing runs into the evening under floodlights, which is what gives the Arosa stop its particular character. As one of the first World Cup rounds of the winter, the race draws the leading names in the discipline along with a lively crowd packed along the barriers. Between heats there is commentary, music and food and drink around the finish area, so the evening works as much as a night out as a sporting fixture. Dress warmly: the action is quick but the temperature drops fast once the sun is down, and the best positions near the finish fill up early.
