Bull Trophy Curling Championship 2027
.webp)
Each January, Grindelwald's sports centre hosts the Bull Trophy, an international curling championship that pairs top-level play with a warm alpine welcome. The next edition runs from 22 to 24 January 2027, a short trip from Hotel Victoria Lauberhorn, a Faern Collection Hotel, in Wengen.
The event
First held in 1976, the Bull Trophy is a fixture of Grindelwald's winter calendar. Around twenty-four teams, from national champions to local favourites, compete over three days on the indoor rinks of the Grindelwald Sports Centre for the carved wooden bull trophy. The mood is friendly but competitive, and visitors are welcome to drop in on matches throughout the day.
Where to watch from Hotel Victoria Lauberhorn
From the hotel, walk five minutes to Wengen station, take the Wengernalp Railway to Lauterbrunnen and the Bernese Oberland Railway via Zweilütschinen to Grindelwald, then a short walk to the sports centre, about an hour each way.
