Lieselotte Family Day on Männlichen, 11 July 2026

On Saturday 11 July 2026, Männlichen hosts Lieselotte Family Day, a free day of activities themed around Lieselotte the cow, the much-loved children's book character. It is one of the easiest summer day trips from Wengen, a five-minute cable car ride from the station next to Victoria Lauberhorn.
What's on
The day centres on the Lieselotte themed trail, a gentle family loop near the summit station with playful stations, cow-shaped landmarks and a giant Lieselotte sculpture for photos. Around it, family-friendly activities take over the summit area for the day. Exact 2026 timings and full programme are published on maennlichen.ch closer to the date.
Getting up there
The fastest route is the Wengen to Männlichen cable car, about five minutes from the front door of Victoria Lauberhorn. From Grindelwald, the cable car from Grindelwald Grund takes around 19 minutes. Bring weather-ready layers, water, sun cream and good walking shoes for the trail.
Practical planning

- Where: Männlichen summit area
- Cost: Free programme, normal cable car fares apply (covered by the Jungfrau Travel Pass)
