Christmas in Wengen 2026
Christmas in Wengen runs from the Glühwein Festival on Saturday 19 December to the Waldweihnacht in the forest on the evening of 25 December 2026. At Victoria Lauberhorn, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day each have their own festive dinner in the Lobhörner Restaurant.

Getting there: Wengen is car-free and reached by train from Lauterbrunnen in 10 to 15 minutes; the hotel is 50 m from the station.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the hotel
On Thursday 24 December the whole evening takes place in the Lobhörner Restaurant. It starts with a welcome glass of Prosecco, or an alcohol-free alternative, in the lobby and the fireplace lounge, with orange juice for the children, before guests sit down to a 6-course Christmas dinner. Children have their own buffet with a choice of main courses and desserts. During the evening Santa Claus visits with small gifts for the children, and a Christmas photo corner is set up for pictures with him. With dessert, couples receive a small bottle of liqueur made by the hotel kitchen, to enjoy at the table or take home.
On Friday 25 December the Lobhörner Restaurant serves a 5-course Christmas dinner, and Pasta & More is open à la carte. Water is on the tables and included on both evenings, and festive evening wear suits the occasion.
Christmas in the village
The week opens on Saturday 19 December with the Glühwein Festival. From 16:00 to 19:00 stands line the decorated Dorfstrasse, guests carry the original Wengen mulled wine mug from one stand to the next, and the Bödeligamblers play live.
The following evening, Sunday 20 December at 17:00, the Musikgesellschaft Wengen gives its Christmas concert in the Protestant church in Wengen, conducted by Sam Spörri.
On Christmas Day at 17:00 the village meets at Flüeleboden for the Waldweihnacht, an outdoor Christmas celebration in the forest with a short devotion, music and mulled wine, open to adults and children. Between these evenings the days belong to the slopes on Männlichen and Kleine Scheidegg, the 4.5 km Fox Run sledging track from Wengernalp down to the village and the ice rink in the village centre.
Plan your stay
Victoria Lauberhorn is in the centre of Wengen, 50 m from the station and the Männlichen cable car, and the ski run back to the village ends about 20 m from the hotel. Hotel guests use the spa free of charge, with an indoor pool, an outdoor whirlpool, a sauna and a steam room. On the other evenings, half-board guests dine in the Lobhörner Restaurant, Pasta & More serves à la carte, and the Cocktail Bar Lauberhorn has an open fire for the hours after dinner.

- Fruit basket or Prosecco: fresh fruit (CHF 12) or a chilled bottle of Prosecco (CHF 49), brought to your room on the days you name when booking.
- Cheese fondue: CHF 35 per person for two, booked in advance, with 1 dl of white wine each.
