New Year's Eve at the hotel

The last day of the year begins on skis, with the run back to the village ending about 20 m from the hotel. The afternoon belongs to the spa, free for hotel guests, with an indoor pool, an outdoor whirlpool, a sauna and a steam room, and a private whirlpool session with Prosecco can be booked at reception.

In the evening both restaurants, the Lobhörner Restaurant and Pasta & More, serve a New Year's Eve buffet. Live music starts at 19:00 with a solo set until 20:00, followed by a trio for the rest of the evening. From 23:00 the celebration moves to the Cocktail Bar Lauberhorn and the terrace outside, where punch, mulled wine and Prosecco are served until midnight and the countdown runs on the screen in the bar. Every guest receives a golden ticket for a complimentary glass of Prosecco or another drink, and festive evening wear suits the occasion.

Celebrations in the region

Guests who want to celebrate in a crowd have Grindelwald within reach. The village celebrates on the Eiger+ square from 15:00, the Trychler gather at the church at midnight and walk through the village, and at 00:30 a drone show lights up the sky above the valley floor. Grindelwald is reached from Wengen by train with changes, so check the connection back in the 2026/27 timetable before you set out.

On New Year's Day, Touch the Mountains fills the Höheweg along the Höhematte in Interlaken from 13:00 to 20:00, with a free open-air concert by Swiss bands, Trychler and folk groups, and food stands and bars. It ends with fireworks at 19:45. Interlaken Ost is reached by train with one change at Lauterbrunnen.

Victoria Lauberhorn is 50 m from Wengen station and the Männlichen cable car, so the slopes, the trains to Grindelwald and Interlaken and the way back after midnight all start at the door. A few extras can be added when you book:
