Arosa Bear Gang: free kids' programme for Altein guests

The Arosa Bear Gang is the village's supervised children's programme, run in July, August and October each summer. It runs every weekday from 10:00 to 17:00, splits into a morning session for under-sixes and an afternoon session for six and over, and is led by qualified kindergarten educators from the local daycare. As a partner hotel, Altein offers the programme to our young guests free of charge.
What the children do
Mornings are indoor and gentle: crafts, stories, games, with the four to five year-olds. Afternoons go outdoors with the older group, six years and up. Activities include visits to the fire brigade and the police, hut-building, wood carving, bear safaris, and baking sessions in the hotel kitchen. The week's programme is published in advance by Arosa Tourismus; reception can share the latest schedule.
How it works for Altein guests
Free access to the programme is one of the benefits of staying at a Bear Gang partner hotel. To enrol your child, speak to reception on arrival. Afternoon activities occasionally include a CHF 5 to CHF 10 charge for specific items (entrance fees, transport, materials), and lunch can be added for an additional fee. The reception team handles all of this; you do not book through any external system.
When the programme runs
The 2026 programme runs through July and August during the Swiss summer school holidays, and resumes for the Graubünden autumn break, which falls between 12 and 23 October 2026. Daily schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 17:00. The weekly programme grid for 2026 publishes closer to the dates on arosa.swiss; we update reception once the details land.
Altein, a Faern Collection Resort, sits a short walk from the Bear Gang's daily meeting point. If your stay falls in the summer holiday weeks or the October break, free supervised days for the children are part of what you already get with us. Come and stay with us.
