25th Arosa Jazz Days 2026: four days of village jazz

Copyright Arosa Tourismus

The 25th Arosa Jazz Days take place from Thursday 30 July to Sunday 2 August 2026. Four days of New Orleans jazz, swing and dixieland, played across village stages and at mountain huts above the lake. Altein sits a few minutes' walk from the main village venues.

The festival in 2026

Now in its 25th edition, Arosa Jazz Days runs across four days. International acts and Swiss groups play across multiple venues, including a panorama set at the 360 degree Weisshorngipfel restaurant, reached by the cable car at the end of the village. The 2026 programme grid is published on the official festival site closer to the dates; check before you arrive to map out the sessions you want to catch.

How tickets work

A single Jazz-Bändel (festival wristband, suggested donation CHF 30) gives entry to every concert across the four days. The wristband also covers the round-trip Weisshorn cable car for the summit concert. Proceeds go to local social projects. Cash, Twint, and card are accepted at the box office.

Where to listen

The festival spreads across the village and up the mountain. Daytime sessions at the Weisshorn put jazz at 2,653 metres with a long view down the valley; evening sets move down to the village squares and bars; Sunday wraps with brunch sessions and a finale concert. Sound is acoustic and intimate at most stages, brassy at the open-air sets.

From Altein, on foot

The main village stages are five to ten minutes on foot from Altein. The Weisshorn cable car valley station is a short walk further; the gondola runs into the evening during the festival weekend. Dinner at Zus Brasserie before the evening sets, then a nightcap at Alpensand afterwards, where the panoramic terrace looks straight out over the village lights. Layers help once the sun sets.

Altein, a Faern Collection Resort, is within easy walking distance of every village stage and a short ride from the mountain sessions. A long weekend from Thursday to Sunday catches the full programme. Come and stay with us for the four days.
