Swiss Snow Walk & Run 2027 - winter race in Arosa

On Saturday 9 January 2027, the snow trails above Arosa host the 23rd Swiss Snow Walk & Run. Walkers and runners share the same groomed winter routes at around 1,800 metres, from a gentle 4 kilometres to a longer climb towards the Weisshorn. It is a friendly, well-organised morning on the snow, open to everyone from families to seasoned trail runners.
The event
The Swiss Snow Walk & Run is a winter walking and running event on prepared snow trails, held each January in Arosa. The way in is simple: you choose a distance, set your own pace, and walk or run through a landscape of frozen lakes and snow-covered slopes. The route is groomed and marked, marshalled along the way, and timed for those who want a result. Over more than twenty editions it has become a fixture of the Arosa winter calendar. Four distances start and finish in the village on the same well-groomed trails: the gentle S4 at 4.4 km, the S8 at 8.3 km, the S11 Weisshorn at 11.3 km with the climb towards the Weisshorn, and the full S16 at 15.6 km. Walkers and runners are welcome on every course.
