Christmas and New Year in Arosa 2026
Fine dining, Prosecco and a dance floor to welcome the new year: from 24 December 2026 to 1 January 2027, celebrate Christmas and New Year in Arosa with us at Hotel Altein. Guests on half board have the entire festive programme included.
The festive programme
On Christmas Eve, a multi-course Christmas dinner is served from 19:00. It features terrine de foie gras and Hokkaido scallops, with a classic bûche de Noël to finish. On Christmas Day, freshly carved Beef Wellington takes centre stage.
New Year's Eve opens at 18:30 with Prosecco and oysters, served cold and warm. The gala dinner follows at 19:30, with beef fillet in morel sauce as the main course. Afterwards, the Alchemilla Parlour Bar turns into a dance floor, with a DJ, a light show and a party until late. On New Year's Day, local cheeses and Swiss desserts bring the festivities to a relaxed close.
Both festive evenings have a vegetarian menu of their own, and younger guests are well looked after too. The programme at a glance is listed below.
Between the festive meals, Arosa's winter draws you outside. The Arosa Lenzerheide ski area is close at hand, with the Arosa Weisshorn cable car just a few minutes' walk from the hotel. For a slower pace, take a few laps on the ice, sledge down to the valley, head out on a winter hike or enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride. Over Christmas and New Year, ice skating lessons are also available in Arosa.
