Rooms for families of 4 and 5
The 10 Family Rooms measure 25 m² and sleep up to 4 people. The Family Suite has 40 m² for up to 5 people and a bathtub. For larger families or older children, 16 connecting rooms are available on request, 8 Comfy Double Mountain View rooms and 8 Deluxe Corner Balcony rooms. Cots for children up to 3 are free, high chairs are available on request, and a child up to 5 who sleeps in a cot or in the parents' bed does not count towards the room occupancy.
What children pay
Children up to 5 stay free of charge, with breakfast and half board included. Children aged 6 to 11 count towards the room occupancy and pay for meals only: CHF 10 per night for breakfast or CHF 25 per night for half board. From age 12, adult rates apply, and half board costs CHF 50 per day. Half board means the breakfast buffet and a 4-course dinner in Zus Brasserie, and the Alpensand Panoramic Restaurant on the top floor has a children's menu.
Play room, games room and cinema
The play room suits children up to about 6. The games room on the lower floor, with a pool table, table tennis, pinball and video games, is for children from 6. Neither room has fixed opening hours, and the cinema room shows a film once a week.
Indoor pool at 32 °C in a 950 m² wellness area
The indoor pool measures 18 x 4.5 m, is 120 cm deep and is kept at 32 °C, with a lazy river and a bubble zone. In summer the 14 x 5 m outdoor pool opens at 23 °C. Pools, saunas, steam bath and fitness room are included in the room rate. The wellness area is open daily from 08:30 to 19:00, the saunas and steam bath from 14:00. Winter in Arosa with children
One free ski lesson per night, ages 4 to 17
From 2 December 2026 to 4 April 2027, every child aged 4 to 17 gets one half-day group lesson for each night you stay, on stays of 2 nights or more: a family staying 5 nights has 5 lessons per child. You receive the voucher at check-in and redeem it at the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School Arosa or the ABC Snowsports School Arosa, where lessons usually run from 10:00 to 12:00 or from 14:00 to 16:00. Sledging, ice skating and the bears
Sledges can be hired at the hotel for CHF 8. The floodlit sledging run from Prätschli ends at the Obersee, 300 m from the hotel, and the Ochsenbühl open-air ice rink is 400 m away, 6 minutes on foot. The Arosa Bear Sanctuary opens on Thursday afternoons in winter. More on the sledging page.
Summer in Arosa with children
In summer, guests receive the Arosa Card at check-in from the first night, on payment of the local guest tax. It includes the mountain railways, the local bus, the rope park and the Untersee lido, 800 m from the hotel, and gives reduced entry to the Arosa Bear Sanctuary, where the hotel runs guided tours for its guests.
